Iron Works (South Boston, MA)
Designed while at Hacin
Iron Works is a large-scale adaptive reuse and repositioning of a historic industrial complex in South Boston. The project transforms a former mill into a vibrant, mixed-use destination, bringing together food, fitness, and production under one cohesive identity.
The architectural strategy focused on revealing and amplifying the character of the existing structures while introducing bold graphic interventions, color blocking, and signage systems to unify the campus.
Rather than treating the site as a collection of buildings, the approach reframed it as an ecosystem; connected through movement, identity, and experience.
“It wasn’t just about renovating buildings, it was about creating a place people want to return to.”
