An Iconic Brand in a Jewel-Box Setting

L.A. Burdick, the renowned chocolatier known for its handmade confections and European-style hot chocolate, has brought its signature warmth and elegance to the heart of Boston’s most refined hospitality destination: the Four Seasons Hotel at One Dalton.

This kiosk isn’t just a point of sale; it’s a small-but-mighty brand experience. Designed in collaboration with Burdick’s team, the goal was to translate the full sensory charm of their flagship locations into a compact, luxurious footprint that fits seamlessly within the hotel’s lobby.

Design that Honors Craft and Character
From the beginning, ArnoldAnd approached this project with the care and precision it deserved. The team focused on materiality, detail, and atmosphere, ensuring every inch of the space told the Burdick story. Colorful tones, brass hardware, and integrated lighting bring richness and dimension, while the counter’s proportions and layout were obsessively calibrated for flow and hospitality.
“It’s a kiosk, yes, but it’s also a stage,” says principal architect Matthew Arnold. “It had to feel instantly familiar to loyal customers, while also elevating the experience for Four Seasons guests.”

Set within a minimalist stone-and-glass lobby, the contrast makes it sing.
